Almost five hundred years after the start of the Reformation, we remember and honor its slogans, the “Solas”: Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Sola Gratia, Soli Deo Gloria. These five simple creeds ignited a fire that radiated across the spiritual darkness of Europe at the beginning of the reformation. The reformers’ clarion call shattered through the spiritual confusion with five, short sayings.

500 years later the messages of the Solas is still as relevant to modern day audiences as it was back then. The authority of the Scriptures, the veracity of the Gospel message, and the glory of God are frequently challenged from all fronts, even from within the walls of the church. What is your position on salvation by grace through faith? What is the correct belief regarding the exclusive authority of the Bible? What does it mean to do all for God’s glory? How do these five sayings apply to your life today?

Come listen and be encouraged at the Mid-Atlantic Bible Fellowship Conference as we celebrate the 500th birth-year of John Calvin, one of the leading reformers, and learn about these five foundational doctrines to the Christian faith. Learn what these Solas mean and how they still have deep affect on your daily Christian walk.
